NERVOUS PATIENTS - Because there's never a convenient time.
A broken/chipped tooth, tooth decay (rotten) or gum infections are the most common causes of toothache which can vary from mild to severe.
It is important to ensure that you are seen at the earliest opportunity by a dentist to diagnose the cause and to receive treatment to relieve pain.
Whilst you are waiting to be seen by a dentist, toothache can normally be controlled by over the counter medication such as ibuprofen and paracetamol.
It is important NOT to take aspirin or any medication you may be allergic to.
Consult with your doctor of pharmacist if you are unsure.
