Sedation dentistry for anxious patients
Some people find visiting the dentist overwhelming and a little frightening. That’s why we offer the choice of having your dental treatment provided with either IV Sedation or general anaesthetic in our day surgery private hospital.
For nervous patients
Dentology Dental Care’s IV Sedation procedures are conducted our day surgery in Wells Road, Chelsea Height Centre. Prior to having dental treatment with IV Sedation you will need to visit our practice for a check-up and x-rays and a review of your medical history. The sedation is provided by an accredited anaesthetist with a registered nurse present to assist procedures. IV Sedation is often referred to as ‘twilight sedation’.
Benefits of IV Sedation
Relax during your treatment – IV sedation alleviates the stress and anxiety sometimes associated with dental treatment
Time Effective – you can often have multiple treatments completed in one session
Treatment in familiar surroundings – treatment is provided on site at an nib Dental Care Centre.

We can then arrange for your dental treatment to be provided at a private hospital by an accredited dentist from an nib Dental Care Centre.
